Key appointment at accountants Infinity Partnership

Scottish accountancy practice and business advisor Infinity Partnership has appointed Stuart Beaton as its new accounts manager.

Having previously held similar roles with an office solutions business as well as another Scotland-wide accountancy practice, Mr Beaton, who is AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualified, joins the Aberdeen-based firm with nearly 20 years’ experience in accountancy and associated services.

Simon Cowie, managing director at Infinity Partnership and who was named Practitioner of the Year at the 2016 British Accountancy Awards at a London ceremony in November, said: “We’re delighted to add someone with Stuart’s level of expertise and broad range of skills to the Infinity team. He will prove to be a valuable addition as we look to grow the business in the next year.”

Infinity offers accountancy services, research and development tax solutions, business advisory services, start-up advice and tax planning among its services.

It has more than 1,300 clients from Shetland to Southampton and has completed projects in the United States, Australia and the Middle East.

This year saw it win the UK Best Strategic Business Advice category in the Corporate Livewire Innovation and Excellence Awards 2017 and it was also named Best M&A Tax Advisory Firm – UK in the 2017 Accounting, Audit & Tax Awards.

Infinity was also shortlisted in two other categories at the British awards.

Client relations manager Greg Houston was highly commended in the New Practitioner of the Year category for the second year in a row, while Infinity was also an Independent Firm of the Year (Scotland) finalist – an award the business won in 2015.
