Kelvin Capital to triple annual investment volume
Kelvin Capital has said it expects to triple its annual investment volume this year after putting £28.4 million into eight businesses in the first three quarters.
The Glasgow-based syndicate has secured around £60 million for its portfolio companies in the last four years.
Director John McNicol told the Scottish Business Insider: “Despite the disruption caused across the economy by Covid-19, the investors in our network continue to have a strong appetite to support the growing businesses within our portfolio.
“The syndicate continues to see opportunities from early-stage companies with disruptive technologies, and we are keen to diversify the portfolio with companies who have already secured revenues and market traction with international growth potential.”
Director Angus Hay added: “In the last three years, Kelvin Capital has raised its investment profile throughout the UK enabling companies to benefit from the wide sector experience amongst our membership.
“We now have 19 portfolio companies, with 2021 being the most significant in terms of investment amounts since we began.”
