Jumpstart secures UK engineering & manufacturing partnership deals
Edinburgh-headquartered R&D tax specialist Jumpstart has consolidated its position as the provider of choice for R&D tax relief services within UK manufacturing, securing two partnership arrangements which give it exclusive access to around 4,000 firms across the sector in the four national regions.
The firm has just signed a new partnership deal with Scottish Engineering, the national trade body which serves as the voice of Scotland’s engineering and manufacturing industry.
The agreement gives Scottish Engineering’s member companies direct access to Jumpstart to assist in the preparation and submission of robust defensible R&D tax relief claims, helping members realise their full benefit potential.
Jumpstart has also renewed its agreement with EEF, the trade body representing manufacturing and engineering across the UK.
Through its Advantages Partner programme, Jumpstart has qualified access to more than 3,600 EEF members to offer their services in relation to both R&D tax relief and Patent Box claims.
Jumpstart’s partner manager Sandy Findlay, said: “We’ve secured more than £100m in R&D tax breaks for our clients since launching with manufacturing representing a significant part of our business. While UK manufacturing companies have historically received around 30 per cent of all benefits paid out through the R&D tax relief scheme, we believe there is room substantially grow the value of benefits being realised by the sector.
“With a constant focus on innovation, the manufacturing and engineering industries are vital to the UK economy. Whether companies are developing prototypes, making improvements to their designs by reducing parts and using new materials, or enhancing their manufacturing processes, making better use of this scheme should help these companies free up more funds for reinvestment in innovation within the sector.”
