Johnston Carmichael welcomes latest group of graduates and JC Futures recruits
Scottish accountancy firm Johnson Carmichael has welcomed its latest intake of graduates and JC Futures recruits.
The firm said this year’s overall JC Future/graduate intake had increased by four students on the 2017 class.
JC Futures was introduced in 2012 to recruit potential accountants straight from school.
The pioneering programme, which allows trainees to gain a chartered qualification while in paid employment, provides an alternative to further studies at university or college.
JC describes the programme as giving budding accountants a valuable, hands-on experience from their first day, allowing them to put their skills into practice earlier than those who choose to study at university.
Iain Abernethy, careers development director at Johnston Carmichael, said: “It’s fantastic to see so many talented young people joining Johnston Carmichael and we are committed to working with these Graduates and JC Futures recruits to provide them practical expert training to help them get off to the best possible start to this exciting stage in their development. The energy and enthusiasm I see within this group and our existing student population up and down the country means the future of the company is in safe hands.
“With such a dynamic environment, now is a great time to start a career as a business adviser. At Johnston Carmichael we have a variety of routes that can all lead towards professional training; including graduates, school leavers, university placement students and interns.”
