Johnston Carmichael appointed as Perth hotel goes under

Matt Henderson, restructuring partner at Johnston Carmichael, has been appointed as liquidator for S.L.E Enterprises Ltd.

S.L.E Enterprises, the company that ran The Lovat Hotel, Perth, ceased trading on Monday, 25 January with the loss of 47 jobs, Johnston Carmichael has reported.

Johnston Carmichael’s appointment was made after the company entered the Creditors’ Voluntary Liquidation (CVL) process.

“S.L.E Enterprises has encountered cashflow difficulties during the past year and we are now dealing with creditors’ claims following the CVL,” said Mr Henderson.

“We are aware that the time between Christmas and Easter is widely recognised within the hotel industry as a difficult trading period – and S.L.E Enterprises arrived at a point where it could no longer continue to operate.”

The Lovat Hotel, which is in the centre of Perth, has 30-rooms, as well as a restaurant and bar area.
