Irina Cheburdanidze, who is based in the firm’s Edinburgh office, Ryan Crilley, based in Glasgow, and Ruth Canham, in Elgin, are each elevated to director level as part of 88 promotions across Johnston Carmichael.

Having been with the company since 2021, Ms Cheburdanidze has built up more than 17 years’ experience in her financial reporting career. Her knowledge spans the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the UK Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP) standards, making her an asset to FTSE 100 and Alternative Investment Market (AIM) organisations as well as rapidly growing, non-audited companies.

Mr Crilley joined Johnston Carmichael in March 2022. As an audit specialist, he brought his experience from his previous roles, including two years as a finance manager at a global insurance brokerage and seven years at a big four firm. Mr Crilley has established strong relationships with his clients, and has led an innovative internal project while coaching and supporting the audit team.

Having previously worked for nearly six years at a big four firm, Ms Canham, based in Elgin, has been part of Johnston Carmichael since 2017. She was promoted to business advisory senior manager in 2019. Ms Canham’s role in managing and developing internal quality control processes has made her a central figure in the firm’s business advisory function.
