Accountancy and business advisory firm Johnston Carmichael has appointed three of its partners to board level as part of its strategy of having a strong succession plan for the senior leadership team of the firm.
The new board members are Graham Marjoribanks, head of audit and assurance, Lynne Walker, head of business advisory and Shaun Millican, head of technology and life sciences and they will join the existing board members comprising Mark Houston, Craig MacPherson, Sandy Manson and Andrew Walker.
Sandy Manson, chair of the board, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Lynne, Shaun and Graham to our Board. They bring a rich and diverse mix of talents, experience, and perspective to help oversee and guide our business as we keep developing and growing our capabilities in light of client requirements.
“Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we have never seen a time when there have been so many exciting opportunities for our business and these key appointments are part of our strategy of continuing to build an independent firm of exceptional quality which we can pass onto future generations.”
Graham Marjoribanks brings a wealth of specialist international experience. His appointment corresponds with a period of significant change in the audit profession in light of the most recent consultation on audit reform and corporate governance.
