James Robertson appointed finance director at Dundee United
Dundee United has appointed James Robertson as club’s new finance director, replacing Derek Bond – who left earlier this year.
A chartered accountant and Glasgow Caledonian University graduate with an honours degree in business & management, Mr Robertson, 32, transitions to the new role from Arnold Clark’s Autoparts division – the largest parts distribution centre within the group – where he spent five and a half years as branch accountant.
Mr Robertson said: “I’m really excited to have joined Dundee United and get my teeth stuck into an industry I am passionate about.
“I’m used to working in a high-pressure environment and I’m excited to play a key role in achieving our strategic vision of being competitive yet sustainable.”
Chief executive Luigi Capuano added: “I’m delighted to welcome James to Dundee United. We conducted a very thorough recruitment process and James demonstrated an impressive track record in his previous roles within a multinational organisation.
“He is someone who can cope with the high demands of a fast-paced industry with the objective of delivering results and we’re excited to have him on board.”
