The Institute of Directors in Scotland has this week signed a lease on 2,951 sq.ft. of office accommodation at 10 Charlotte Square, part of the Charlotte Square Collection of properties, to form a new hub for Scotland’s directors and a modern headquarters for the organisation.

The space, comprising the ground and first floor of the building, will house formal and informal meeting spaces for members, training facilities and events spaces as well as being a base for the permanent IoD Scotland team.

David Watt, executive director at IoD Scotland, said: “This move represents the creation of a new focal point for IoD members in Scotland, with state-of-the-art facilities in a prestigious central location. We very much look forward to unveiling our plans, and welcoming members and visitors to our new ‘hub’, which sits right at the heart of the business and political community.”

The IoD will move from their current premises, at the Royal Scots Club, in the spring, and the member areas will be fully operational before the summer.

Montagu Evans acted for the IoD, undertaking a city-wide search for a suitable location that would accommodate not only its own business requirements, but also the specific needs of the IoD’s 2000+ members in Scotland.
