Institute of Directors Scotland welcomes new Chairs for Glasgow and Highlands and Islands branches
Craig Jamieson, director at Barclays Wealth Management, has been appointed chair of the Institute of Directors Glasgow branch, while Donald Forsyth, partner at accountants Saffery Champness, has taken on the chairmanship for IoD Highlands and Islands.
Mr Jamieson said he will use his chairmanship to draw from talent pools not already taken advantage of in Glasgow and the West, especially those who face challenges moving into the world of work from unusual circumstances.
Describing his ambitions in the Highland and Islands, Donald Forsyth said: “I’ll be focusing on two main aims while I am Chair. First, I want to collaborate, not compete, with existing membership bodies such as the chambers of commerce in the north. The committee we have in the Highlands and Islands has members from Wick, Orkney, Aberlour and Lochaber, meaning we have a broad reach of experts from the various communities we serve.
David Watt, executive Director of IoD Scotland. added: “Both Craig and Donald are excellent leaders, who have proven business successes and excellent networks across their respective parts of Scotland. I am certain they will drive positive development across Glasgow and the Highlands and Islands business sectors.”
