Independent Growth Finance engineers funding for Glasgow civil engineering firm

Commercial finance provider for SMEs IGF has recently delivered a £300,000 working capital facility to Glasgow civil engineering firm, MHL Civil.

The funding, delivered by IGF, has allowed the firm to improve its cashflow, whilst rapidly expanding its client base across Scotland. With this facility in place, MHL has been able to complete large scale installations and undertake crucial retained projects, which it has previously been unable to commit to completing.

MHL Civil works in the construction of utilities projects, including electricity and telecommunications. IGF was introduced to MHL by accountancy firm Advantage Accountants, with the aim of sourcing the most successful funding package for the business.

Adam Brown, Operations Manager at MHL Civil said: “As a relatively new business, maintaining a healthy level of cashflow is vital to keep our firm running day-to-day, whilst being able to achieve our business growth goals. The IGF team has been streamlined and efficient from the start, understanding both our business’ needs, as well as those of our clients.”

Alan Anderson, ABL Director – Scotland at Independent Growth Finance, adds: “In the engineering sector, it is unfortunately reasonably common for invoice payments to be delayed, impacting cashflow and as a result, hindering business growth and aspirations. We saw the potential for MHL to undertake more projects across Scotland and are thrilled to have been able to provide the funding which supported its expansion.”
