SME finance provider IGF has expanded its team in Scotland with the appointment of Stephanie Kinney as regional sales director for its invoice finance business, covering Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Ms Kinney joins from Bibby Financial Services after almost three years with that firm.

Her role will primarily focus on sales and bringing in new business across the Scotland and Northern Ireland regions from IGF’s Scotland hub in Glasgow.

She said: “IGF is offering something new and interesting to the market and is helping to give businesses the financial support they crucially need. I am thrilled to be making a difference to SMEs across Scotland.”

Ms Kinney’s appointment constitutes one third of a trio of senior IGF hires across the UK, along with the appointment of Maxine Hennessy, ABL Director for Thames Valley and South East and Simon Jacobs as Head of Portfolio for the ABL side of the business.

Responsible for developing new business leads across the Thames Valley, South and West regions, Hennessy specialises in finance for growth, acquisitions and turnarounds. She joins IGF with over 20 years’ commercial finance experience, following ABL roles at Shawbrook, Centric Commercial Finance and Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance.

Looking after the development of the firm’s asset based lending portfolio, Jacobs will be based at IGF’s headquarters in Paddock Wood, Kent. He joins IGF with over 20 years of industry experience, following various roles across the ABL sector with Shawbrook, Centric Commercial Finance and GE. His role is to oversee the development and management of the fast-growing ABL client portfolio and to ensure a smooth transition for IGF’s prospective customers once a lending line has been agreed.

Maxine Hennessy, ABL Director for Thames Valley and South East, said: “The team at IGF is a crucial part of what makes the business an attractive place to work. I am looking forward to developing creative finance solutions for businesses in the South East region.”

Simon Jacobs, Head of Portfolio – ABL, said: “It’s a really exciting time to join IGF as the business is still in the early stages of its planned expansion and offering development. Both the ABL and Invoice Finance sides of the business have interesting propositions for the market and I’m looking forward to joining such a forward-thinking firm.”

John Onslow, IGF CEO, added: “Each of these individuals is bringing a wealth of industry experience to the firm. We firmly believe that finding the right people is integral to our business offering and we are confident that Maxine, Stephanie and Simon are in a strong position to bolster IGF’s existing strategy as we move into 2017.”
