Henderson Loggie’s forensic accounting team has raised over £800 to support centres offering free legal advice to some of the most vulnerable people in society, exceeding their initial fundraising target of £500.

The team took part in the 10k Edinburgh Legal Walk in support of the Access to Justice Foundation (ATJF) which distributes funds to organisations that support those who need legal help but cannot afford it.

Greig Rowand, head of Henderson Loggie’s Forensic Team, said: “The Access to Justice Foundation is a great charity providing access to legal help which can make an enormous difference to people’s lives, helping to reduce debt, poverty and suffering.

“The need for free legal advice centres has grown in the past few years. They do a fantastic job in preventing homelessness, resolving debt problems, gaining care for the elderly and disabled and fighting exploitation. It’s good to know that our contribution will help to ensure their services are as effective as possible.”

Mr Rowand was joined on the walk by colleagues Brian Miller, Nehla Javid and Peter Graham from the Forensic Team.
