Henderson Loggie bolsters tax team with four key appointments
Scottish accountancy and business advisory firm Henderson Loggie, which employs around 200 people across offices in Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow, has strengthened its tax team with four new senior appointments.
Bill Grierson joins the firm as tax director after 17 years with Royal Bank of Scotland, where latterly he was head of group tax advisory projects.
Prior to that he was with Deloitte’s Corporate Tax Group.
A statement from Henderson Loggie said: “A leading corporate tax expert, Bill brings wide experience to the team and will work with clients throughout Scotland.”
The firm also revealed that Alison Beattie joins as senior tax manager, a role she held until recently at Aberdeen-based Anderson Anderson Brown.
Before that she was tax manager with Johnson Carmichael.
The firm said: “Alison has particular expertise in education and professional practices and brings 25 years of tax experience to her new national role at the firm focusing on private clients, in particular inheritance tax planning and trusts.”
David Forrest, meanwhile, joins as tax manager from PWC and will be based in Henderson Loggie’s Aberdeen office to focus on the firm’s entrepreneurial and SME clients.
And in an internal move, senior tax manager Hazel Pratt has been appointed to lead the firm’s specialist tourism and hospitality sector group, a newly-created role to promote and build upon the considerable industry expertise that exists across Henderson Loggie’s office network.
She has over 25 years of experience working in tax in the accountancy profession and in industry for a FTSE 100 group of companies.
