Harper Macleod advises on sale of Dalcross Group
Scottish law firm Harper Macleod has advised the shareholders of Dalcross Group on its sale to Skytanking UK Ltd.
The Dalcross Group provides ground handling, de-icing, lavatory and water services, transportation, fuel services, catering, cargo, baggage, and freight forwarding services at Aberdeen and Inverness airports. In addition, the Group operates Highland Jet Centre Limited which provides private jet refuelling at Inverness airport.
Skytanking’s acquisition continues its expansion in the UK following the purchase of Star Handling earlier in the year. Skytanking is a wholly owned subsidiary of US-headquartered PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc., which has 8,000 employees and serves 225 airports around the world.
Harper Macleod’s corporate and M&A team, led by Stephen Chan with support from Ciaran McGowan, advised the Dalcross Group shareholders.
John MacCallum of the Dalcross Group said: “Stephen Chan and his team, especially Ciaran McGowan, provided us with a professional and diligent service through a particularly problematic share transfer agreement. Without Stephen’s attention to detail and sheer professionalism along with his excellent team, I doubt we would have reached a satisfactory conclusion. We would have no hesitation in recommending Stephen and his team at Harper MacLeod as their corporate knowledge was invaluable.”
Mr Chan commented: “This is a great result for the Dalcross Group shareholders and Skytanking. It means Dalcross will operate as a part of a larger group with its enviable resources, and that Skytanking has access to the experience of the entire Dalcross team.”
