Mr Renton, who hails from Eyemouth, joined GWA in 2000 shortly after receiving his degree in accountancy and finance. By 2009, he had earned his certification as a chartered certified accountant. Today, he leads GWA’s Corporate Services team, playing a vital role in staying abreast of ever-evolving regulations.

Beyond his professional commitments, Mr Renton maintains a busy sporting life. He holds interests in both football and rugby, having played rugby for Eyemouth White Horses. He was instrumental in establishing the club and served on its committee. Now, Renton spends his leisure time coaching at Berwick RFC, where his two sons play, and attending his youngest son’s football matches at Chirnside.
