Grant Thornton appoints Edinburgh tax trio
Grant Thornton’s aim to double the size of its Scottish tax team over the next five years has taken a step forward after the firm added three “key” appointments to its Edinburgh team.
Gail Gibson joins from Entertainment One, where she was deputy head of tax, Alison Patton, from drinks manufacturer Beam Suntroy, and Sarah Joiner, a former senior tax manager with BDO.
All three join the firm as senior tax analysts.
Commenting on the appointments, Grant Thornton’s head of tax for Scotland, Vishal Chopra, said: “It is an exciting time for Grant Thornton in Scotland as we look to grow our Tax team significantly over the next five years.
“This will ultimately help us provide even greater support to our clients through a broader scope of expertise within the team. As well as being an important step for our own goals, these appointments will help us continue to support our clients’ growth plans and ambitions.”
