Gorgie City Farm crowdfunding campaign raises more than £50k
A crowdfunding campaign launched to save Edinburgh’s Gorgie City Farm has raised over £57,000 since its initiation on Saturday.
MHA Henderson Loggie has been appointed as liquidator for the farm, but more than 2,700 members of the public have given money to the GoFundMe page to save it.
If the crowdfunding campaign is successful, the farm would have to be relaunched as a new venture.
The target of the crowdfunding campaign is £100,000.
Organisers have said that if the farm cannot be saved, the money collected for the cause will be donated between Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and Scottish Association for Mental Health.
