Glasgow-based Minerva Innovation Group, specialising in R&D tax relief for businesses, aims to double its client base in 2025.
The firm, now headquartered in Rutherglen, plans to expand into the architecture and engineering sectors, building upon its strong presence in equestrian, livestock, farming, and veterinary industries.
Minerva boasts the UK’s highest number of R&D community-certified experts within its field. Founder Adam Pearce, a former Glasgow Rocks basketball player, attributes the firm’s year-on-year growth to its sector-specific knowledge and track record.
Mr Pearce explained: “That has given us the confidence to set ambitious targets to expand our portfolio in 2025 and secure research tax relief for more UK businesses, large and small.
“We are particularly strong across the farming, livestock, equestrian and veterinary sectors, and they are a hugely important part of our business. We are now actively investing and building our expertise and knowledge across the architecture and engineering sectors, including marine engineering.
“On average, our clients can generate R&D cash benefits equal to 2.99% of their turnover, 6.84% of their wage bill and £1,493 benefit per employee.”
The company’s expertise lies in navigating the complexities of R&D tax relief, a government incentive designed to support innovative projects in science and technology. Minerva’s consultants assist small and medium-sized businesses with eligibility, activity identification, and cost calculations.
Three Minerva team members hold top-tier R&D Community Certification, placing them at the top of the provider’s directory. This certification covers key areas of R&D tax relief claims.
Recently, Minerva extended its parental leave policy, offering male employees the same one year and five weeks of paid leave as female employees following the birth of a child, reflecting the company’s commitment to gender equality in the workplace.
