Property consultancy Galbraith has made 22 staff promotions across its 13 offices in Scotland and the north of England.

The promotions include a new role as head of people and culture as well as two people moving up to become directors, three to senior associate, and two to associate.

The new directors are Tom Tongs and James Towers, both members of the Building Consultancy team based in Edinburgh.

Stef Bennett becomes head of people and culture and the three new senior associates are Philippa Orr, from the Cupar Energy team, Jamie Addison-Scott of the Edinburgh Commercial team and Russell Porter from the Forestry team in Penrith. Two new associates are promoted in the Rural team, Christian Wroe of the Inverness office and Calum Chalmers from Perth.

Promoted to senior surveyor are Edward Fletcher, Rural, and David Stevenson in Commercial, both in Edinburgh, and Alistair Torrance, part of the Rural & Residential Sales teams in Stirling. Jonathan Tompson moves to senior forester covering Penrith and Hexham.

In business support and finance roles the following team members have been promoted: Amanda Merry to finance operations manager in Ayr, Ruth Page in Cupar to executive assistant for the Rural and Energy divisions. Also Morag Rae, Joanne Inglis and Karin Michels to senior administrator in the Stirling and Inverness offices.

In the Rural & Residential Sales and Lettings team, the following promotions were also confirmed: Iona Colmar to Inverness lettings manager, Samantha Outten to Ayr lettings manager, Megan Parker to negotiator in Hexham, Rebecca Reed to senior negotiator in Castle Douglas and Jenifer Scott to negotiator based in Inverness.

The end of March 2025 also marked the retirement of Pam Over, partner in Building Consultancy and the Edinburgh office and a former CEO of the Firm, after many years’ service in both Building Consultancy and Commercial.

Martin Cassels continued: “I would like to thank Pam for her invaluable contribution to Galbraith over the past 20 years and we wish her the very best in retirement, though she will be continuing as a consultant with the Building Consultancy team.”
