Four new faces for Inverness Chamber of Commerce board

Four new directors have been elected to serve on the board of Inverness Chamber of Commerce for the next three years.

Eunice McAdam, a partner in Saffery Champness LLP; Andy Gray, a director with Allied Surveyors Scotland; Matthew Harmsworth, a director with aerial imagery provider and drone filming specialist firm ROAVR UAS; and George Lowe, a senior executive with Highland Office Equipment, were chosen by Inverness Chamber of Commerce members and confirmed at its annual meeting.

Stewart Nicol, Inverness Chamber of Commerce chief executive, said: “Our new directors bring a vast amount of experience and expertise to the board and I am looking forward to working with them over the next three years to improve the business landscape in the Highlands.”



Inverness Chamber of Commerce, which marks its 125th anniversary this year, held its annual meeting at the Loch Ness Country House Hotel. It was followed by the latest in its keynote lunch series, with guest speaker Professor Chris O’Neil, Principal and CEO of Inverness College UHI.

Eunice McAdam, a partner at Top 20 firm of chartered accountants Saffery Champness based in Inverness, has over 27 years’ experience in providing assurance and advisory services to private companies, entrepreneurs and not-for-profit entities across Scotland and beyond, including those with international interests.

Ms McAram has worked with businesses across the many sectors that are represented in the Highlands, including aquaculture, infrastructure, oil services and retail. She is known for her pragmatic and hands-on approach to working with clients to achieve their ambitions.

Andy Gray is a director with Allied Surveyors Scotland where he heads up the commercial department in the North of Scotland. Working from the Inverness office, he covers an area stretching from Fort William to Shetland and from the Western Isles to Keith undertaking the valuation, disposal and energy assessments of all types of commercial property.

Mr Gray grew up in Stornoway and after graduating from the University of Aberdeen in 2006, worked for a surveying firm in Glasgow before moving to Inverness in 2008 to join Allied Surveyors as a graduate surveyor.

Matthew Harmsworth spent ten years as a tree surgeon before selling that business and moving into consultancy. In 2013 he founded ROAVR in Inverness. Mr Harmsworth has worked across the unmanned aircraft systems industry as an operator, ground school instructor, flight assessor and consultant. Within ROAVR, Matthew has carried out operations as diverse as oil rig inspection to features films.

George Lowe is a senior sales executive with Highland Office Equipment and has more than eight years’ experience in the office equipment and printing industry.

He is a well-known face across the Highlands and Islands, looking after businesses from Caithness to Oban, as well as in and around Inverness.

Mr Lowe is very passionate about all business sectors and has built up a great working relationship with his customers, from small business all the way through to large corporate accounts.
