Former TfL finance director becomes CFO of SGN
Energy network SGN has appointed Tony King as its new chief financial officer (CFO), effective from 2 December 2024.
He brings over 30 years of experience in C-suite roles in industries including transportation, construction, energy and manufacturing.
As group finance director at Transport for London (TfL), Mr King was responsible for navigating the organisation’s funding and finances through the pandemic.
He’s worked internationally for URENCO, the uranium enrichment firm, where over 14 years he undertook senior positions in finance, treasury, IT and transformation.
Most recently, Mr King has been the Group CFO at Thakeham Group, a specialist in zero-carbon house building, where he’s overseen growth and strategic direction.
Mr King said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed Chief Financial Officer at SGN.
“The organisation plays a crucial role as a provider of national energy infrastructure to millions of people, so I’m looking forward to helping deliver a sound business plan at an important time for a sector facing into the challenges and opportunities of net zero.”
