Former Lord Advocate of Scotland appointed Chair of ICAS Discipline Board

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland has announced the appointment of one of Scotland’s most senior lawyers as Chair of its Discipline Board.
The Right Hon, Dame Elish Angiolini DBE QC held the role of Lord Advocate of Scotland from 2006 until 2011 during which time she took forward the most wide-ranging programme of modernisation in the Scottish prosecution department’s history.
After the transformation, the department was widely hailed as an exemplar body in the Scottish Government.
