Experienced charity executive Sue Freeth takes helm as CEO at VSA
Aberdeen social care charity VSA appointed Sue Freeth as its new chief executive officer.
An experienced figure in the charity sector, Ms Freeth’s career spans over four decades, during which she has held both executive and non-executive positions in various UK social care charities.
Kevin Shand, chair of the board of trustees for VSA, said: “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I am delighted to announce the appointment of Chief Executive Sue Freeth who joins the VSA family.
“Sue comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge of the charity sector, having held previous CEO roles for various charities across the UK.
“As the world emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic, the delivery of social care changes, the cost-of-living crisis, and societal change, Sue will lead VSA to continue to influence the social care landscape.”
Newly appointed CEO Sue Freeth said: “It is a very proud honour to be appointed chief executive for such an amazing local charity in the North-East of Scotland.
“I am eager to get started and lead the well-established team to deliver the best of care to enable the best of lives to the vulnerable children and adults we support.”
