Ex-AAM chief joins wife’s firm

Hugh Little, who retired from a 29-year career at Aberdeen Asset Management last year, has invested in and become a board director of a sport technology business founded by his wife.

Lesley Little set up Sport Technology Services (STS) in 2012 as a software developer and consultancy company specialising in the sports industry, with its latest product, CoachCam, now on the market and winning acclaim for its innovation and its ease of use for sports coaches worldwide.

The app gives athletes the tools to record, edit and analyse performance videos using a range of interactive features.

Recently the company joined forces with Robert Gordon University (RGU) to develop the technology. The par t nership was backed by a £ 121,000 Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) grant.

Last year, STS reported its coaching tool was being used by Manchester United and Leicester City football clubs.

Mr Little, a dedicated fan and former director of Aberdeen Football Club, said: “I am delighted to be joining STS at this most exciting stage in its development and look forward to working with the team as they bring CoachCam to a global marketplace.”

Since retiring, Mr Little has also joined the board of the Drum Income Plus Reit – a property investment vehicle led by Graeme Bone. He is also an investor and a director with Tcam Asset Management, a fledgling wealth manager recently spun out of Edinburgh law firm Turcan Connell.

He worked for Aberdeen Asset Management for 29 years as head of private equity and of acquisitions until taking early retirement in 2015. He is currently a governor of RGU.

He has in the past been a director of Scottish Enterprise Grampian and was on the Dons’ board for 12 years.
