Employee-owned ITWORX achieves record £4.6m turnover
Aberdeen-headquartered IT managed service provider ITWORX UK has celebrated a record turnover year and a decade of dedication from one of its team members.
The organisation has reported a £4.6 million turnover for 2022/23 which is 40% growth against the previous 12 months.
Contributing to the year of growth was a combination of 10 new managed service contract wins delivering in excess of £400,000 over the next 3 years and 8 new project awards in excess of £700,000 across multiple sectors.
The North-East headquartered firm hit the headlines in 2020 when it transitioned to employee ownership, with 17 staff being given a stake in the business. Head count now sits at 20 and sees IT WORX UK supporting clients from Aberdeen to Perth, with Dundee being cited as an area of further expansion. It currently supports a number of clients in Dundee and Angus, with many of its clients across the business having a global footprint.
Jill Ross, commercial director at ITWORX UK, said: “Our mission is to improve our clients’ business performance by making technology work smarter. We enable this by providing the strategy, advice and management that businesses need to optimise their technology and streamline operations.
“We know time is money in the business world and we want to give as much time back to our clients as possible to enable them to focus on growing their business and providing exceptional service.
“To support our growing client base we are also looking forward to increasing our head count across all aspects of the business in the foreseeable future.”
Ms Ross continued: “The team has made it an exceptional year for the business. Our employees are at the heart of all we do and have a say in things that affect them. Everyone contributes to our success and benefits from it.
“We are also delighted to celebrate a decade of service this year from employee David Mason. David has been with the business through a transformative period and is a valued member of the team. His long-standing service also highlights the positive working environment we have created.
“We truly care about staff welfare and development and look forward to David continuing to be part of the team for many years to come.”
Mr Mason, technical and account coordinator, commented: “I started with ITWORX UK as a Network Technician a decade ago and transitioned to the commercial side after six and a half years.
“I am also the employee rep on the board for the employee ownership trust (EOT) It has been an incredible 10 years with the business during which I have seen significant change, especially around the employee-owned model.
“There is such a positive atmosphere within the business, and I have been well supported in changing positions to progress my career. I look forward to my future at ITWORX UK and further supporting our clients as the business continues to grow.”
