easyJet adds new destinations from Glasgow and Edinburgh
EasyJet has announced an expansion to its flight offerings from Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.
From Glasgow, travellers can now book flights to Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Marrakech, and Prague.
Flights to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands will operate twice a week throughout the winter season, offering a warm escape from 27 and 30 October, respectively.
Those looking for a city break can opt for the new year-round service to Prague, which will operate twice a week from 7 November, or the Glasgow to Marrakech service will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays from 11 November, all throughout winter.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “Our flights and holidays are available for even more and brand new destinations including Fuerteventura, Lanzarote, Marrakech, and Prague from Glasgow, further strengthening our unrivalled short-haul network and providing customers with even more choice and great value.”
Christopher Tibbett, aviation director at AGS Airports, which owns Glasgow Airport, added: “This announcement coupled with the recent introduction of a sixth based aircraft this year demonstrates easyJet’s commitment to growing its considerable destination offering at Glasgow.
“It has been a great year for both airline and airport and long may that continue.”
Edinburgh will also see the addition of a new route to Agadir in Morocco, commencing from 6 November. This year-round service will operate twice a week, providing Scots travellers with another option for winter sun.
