Ashley Howieson has joined Deeside Timberframe as its new business development manager, following her successful tenure at the Muir Group.

With 17 years of experience in the construction industry, including 14 in timber frame, Ashley brings a wealth of knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to the team. Her extensive experience, from designing roof trusses to managing client relationships, makes her a valuable asset as Deeside Timberframe continues to grow and serve clients across the UK.

Reflecting on her move, Ashley shares how joining Deeside Timberframe has given her the opportunity to offer a wider range of products and solutions to clients.

“I now have a greater choice of products to offer, which allows me to tailor solutions specific to our clients’ needs and streamline their procurement process,” she said.

Ashley has also been impressed by the meticulous planning that goes into the design, manufacturing, and delivery process at Deeside’s two manufacturing facilities.

“I was curious about how the logistics of operating with two manufacturing facilities would work before I joined,” she explained. “But I’ve quickly seen that it’s like a well-oiled machine, ensuring that we are efficient, reliable, and flexible for our clients. It’s a huge advantage for delivering high-quality timber frame solutions on time and to specification.”

Due to Deeside Timberframe’s larger client portfolio, Ashley admits she initially had concerns about maintaining the personal touch and autonomy she was used to offering clients. However, her experience has been quite the opposite.

“There’s a culture here of open communication and collaboration, where my ideas and opinions are truly encouraged and valued. I still have the freedom to be myself with clients, which is incredibly important to me. I’ve never believed in just selling a product—it’s about building genuine relationships and understanding each client’s individual needs,” she added.

Derek Wann, business development director at Deeside Timberframe, commented on Ashley’s appointment: “We’re delighted to have Ashley join the team. Her passion for timber frame construction, combined with her extensive experience, will be a great asset as we continue to expand our business. Ashley’s customer-centric approach aligns perfectly with our values, and we’re confident that she will play a significant role in building and nurturing strong client relationships.

“Ashley’s appointment is a reflection of our commitment to delivering exceptional service and building genuine relationships with clients. We look forward to the positive impact she will bring to our team and clients alike.”
