Debbie Mayor becomes transaction advisory services partner at Grant Thornton Scotland

Grant Thornton UK LLP has promoted Debbie Mayor to partner in its Scotland transaction advisory services team.

Ms Mayor joined Grant Thornton in 2002 training in audit, before moving to specialise in transaction advisory services within the Scottish corporate finance team in 2006.

Over the last 18 years she has worked with a variety of clients across a broad range of sectors, including food and beverage, property management services and energy. Ms Mayor also has significant experience of advising on cross-border transactions and supporting international clients.



As a partner, she will be responsible for leading and developing the Scotland transaction advisory services business and continuing the team’s growth locally. In addition, she will work with her fellow Scottish partners on driving forward the strategy for the Scottish practice.

Speaking on her appointment, Ms Mayor said: “Having been at Grant Thornton for over 20 years and spending most of those years in the Scottish deals market, I am really excited to lead the transaction advisory Services team in Scotland.

“The team is growing, and we have had a fantastic start to the year, as we continue to see high levels of deal activity and support our acquisitive clients in executing their growth strategies.

“It is an exciting time for the firm, and I look forward to working with the Scottish leadership team driving our strategy forward and continuing to grow Grant Thornton’s presence in Scotland.”
