Set to join the firm later this month, Mr Mansfield brings with him a wealth of industry experience from both a manufacturing and distribution standpoint, accrued notably from his tenure at Sealed Air and, and more recently, at Bunzl UK Ltd as managing director of lightning packaging supplies.

In his new role at Macfarlane, Mr Mansfield will be reporting directly to group CEO, Peter Atkinson, and will oversee the core sales, marketing, operations, and purchasing functions of the packaging division.

Mr Atkinson said: “A strong leadership team is a key part of our strategy and I am confident that David’s extensive experience, knowledge and proven ability to lead successful teams will make him an excellent addition to Macfarlane Packaging.
