Cubo expands into Scotland with launch of Edinburgh location
Flex office operator Cubo has opened its first ever workspace in Scotland, with the official launch of the firm in Edinburgh.
Cubo has opened the doors to a new 16,000 sq. ft workspace at 40 Princes Street, one of the city’s most remarkable Grade A office buildings, in the heart of Edinburgh city centre.
The new Cubo centre offers office accommodation arranged over two floors, with 360 desks available. Features include a stunning reception area with custom-made desks and walls, bespoke furniture, scenic glass lifts, on-site showers, and cycle racks. The aspect affords the offices natural light and unbeatable views of the city’s skyline overlooking iconic landmarks such as Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat.
Princes Street is Edinburgh’s most sought-after location with high-end boutiques and department stores alongside world class dining, artisan coffee shops and places to stay. It is also a short stroll from St James Quarter, an exciting retail led, lifestyle district, and is adjacent to the city’s Waverley mainline station.
Cubo is a name that has become synonymous with workplace innovation and desirability. Offering spaces that combine the traditional requirements of functionality with a new focus on enhancing member experience, Cubo is the future of work life.
Whether it’s flexible co-working or a private office, Cubo provides spaces designed to create comfortable environments in which members can both interact socially and network professionally with each other. Thanks to each centre’s 24/7 secure access, Cubo members enjoy all year-round flexibility in their working lives. Member benefits include large communal spaces, private areas, break-out spaces, kitchens, an inclusive barista service with beer and fizz on tap, along with a programme of free networking events.
Earlier this year, Cubo, which was launched by property investors Marc and Rebecca Brough, set out plans to open four new workspaces by the end of 2023. Cubo Edinburgh will be its seventh site, with a Manchester site to be announced shortly.
As a result, Cubo is rapidly becoming the location of choice for SMEs, tech companies and corporates looking for a world class environment where they can develop and thrive and is attracting an enticing mix of businesses. There has already been significant interest from the local business community looking to be based in one of the city’s most high-profile buildings and a number of pre-lets are set to be announced shortly.
Commenting on opening new Edinburgh workspace, Marc Brough, CEO at Cubo, said: “We are delivering on our plans to roll-out the Cubo brand nationally and are excited to have launched our first flex office space in Scotland, and in what we believe is Edinburgh’s most amazing office location.
“Edinburgh is a city with little Grade A supply, but the setting, location and quality of 40 Princes Street blew us away when we first saw it. With its unrivalled location in one of the city’s premium office buildings, proximity to the train station and strong retail neighbours, it is the ideal home for many growing businesses.
“The new space continues our rapid expansion and reinforces our commitment to opening in the very best locations across all the UK’s core cities.”
