Consilium Chartered Accountants has successfully advised Di Maggio’s Restaurant Group (DRG) on the acquisition of three popular Glasgow-based restaurants.

The deal sees the Scottish hospitality giant acquire three of Glasgow’s hottest Italian restaurants from brands Paesano and Sugo. Established in 2015 and 2019 respectively, they have become hugely popular, serving nearly 22,000 customers weekly.

Continuing a long-standing relationship between Consilium Chartered Accountants and DRG, owners Mario Gizzi and Tony Conetta retained the services of advisor John Blair.

Discussing the deal, Mr Blair said: “As long-time advisors to Mario and Tony, bringing the Paesano and Sugo brands into the DRG family has been hugely satisfying.

“Everyone at Consilium Chartered Accountants is looking forward to supporting DRG as they continue to expand their portfolio of restaurants.”

The acquisition strengthens DRG’s position as one of Scotland’s restaurant groups, now comprising over 20 venues including Amarone, Café Andaluz, Anchor Line and Di Maggio’s.
