Companies House fees to increase
Company incorporation and registration fees are set to rise in May following new legislation.
The fee for incorporating a company online is set to rise from £12 to £50, while the fee for a postal application will increase from £40 to £71.
Companies House has published a full list of the new fees, which will take effect from 1 May 2024 as a result of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency (ECCT) Bill.
The legislation will provide Companies House with greater powers to ensure information on its registers is accurate, which is aimed at tackling white collar crime.
A spokesperson said: “Companies House fees are set on a cost recovery basis. This means our fees must cover the cost of the services we deliver. We do not make a profit on our fees.”
