CMS welcomes two new partners in Scotland

CMS has appointed two new partners, Barry Edgar and Fenella Mason, who, respectively, join the firm’s offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Mr Edgar is a commercial real estate lawyer with extensive experience in advising institutional and private equity clients on investment and development transactions. He joins the firm’s real estate transactional practice after spending the last five years at Dentons, where he also served as a partner.

A keen advocate for promoting and utilising technology and innovation within real estate services, Mr Edgar has developed a strong reputation in the Scottish marketplace.



Within his new role at CMS, he will continue to deliver new investment and development opportunities for the firm’s highly-regarded commercial real estate team, and support clients in meeting current challenges including managing ESG and working requirements.

Fenella Mason

Ms Mason joins CMS as a partner within its infrastructure, construction and energy (ICE) disputes practice. She was previously at Burness Paull, where she led the firm’s construction and projects team for 13 years.

She has over 30 years’ experience advising clients on construction and engineering dispute resolution, both internationally and domestically across a range of projects including roads, rail, energy, utilities, education, office, leisure and retail.
