CMS energy event to focus on challenges for supply chain companies
CMS is staging a half day conference later this month focused on managing opportunities and risks around energy transition.
The conference will outline the substantial commercial opportunities for the supply chain presented by the shift from fossil fuels towards more sustainable energy sources. It will also set out some key risks around contract management, supply chain integrity, funding, and the safeguarding of intellectual property for new technology.
The free-to-attend event, which takes place at Aberdeen complex P&J Live on 24 May between 0830 and 1330, will be led by CMS oil and gas sector specialists.
The speakers include Paula Kidd, a partner from the firm’s energy & infrastructure team; fellow partners Valerie Allan, from the energy disputes team; Fiona Henderson from the banking team; Rosalind Morgan, from the environment, health & safety team and Neeraj Thomas, who specialises in IP disputes.
Ms Kidd said: “I would encourage all those working with the oil and gas service sector to attend our session later this month. The long-term move to more sustainable energy sources creates substantial commercial opportunities across the entire sector. Capitalising on these will raise a number of considerations from a risk and contract management perspective which will need to be carefully managed.”
“Our event will set out these key challenges and offer guidance and advice on how companies can best mitigate some of the risk to ensure they maximise the benefit of energy transition.”
