Clydesdale Bank CFO appointed as executive director

Mr Smith (pictured), who joined the Clydesdale last November, currently serves on the bank’s UK Executive Committee.

He has also now joined the Boards of Clydesdale Bank PLC and parentNational Australia Group Europe Limited as an executive director.

Mr Smith joined Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks from Deloitte UK where he was Financial Services Mergers & Acquisitions Leader and Corporate Finance Partner.

Prior to Deloitte UK, Mr Smith was a Finance Director with Lloyds Banking Group and HBOS.

An Economics graduate of Aberdeen University, he is a chartered accountant.

Mr Smith lives in Kinross.

The appointment has received regulatory approval.
