Clockwork appoints Andy Blyth as group finance director
Edinburgh-headquartered Clockwork removals and storage has strengthened its business with the appointment of a new executive team.
The firm has been trading for 28 years and offers domestic, commercial and international removals and storage services across the UK. Clockwork has branches in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, Inverness, Orkney, Sheffield, North London, South London and Stroud.
Andy Blyth has now been appointed group finance director and Paul Handley takes the reins as managing director.
Mr Blyth is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant and has worked with Clockwork for 10 years, with the last 6 years as group financial controller. He qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 2013 whilst working with Baker Tilly (now known as RSM) after several years of experience working in small and medium sized accountancy practice. Shortly after becoming a qualified accountant, Mr Blyth joined Clockwork as group accountant.
He told Scottish Financial News: “Clockwork is a very commercial business operating in a saturated market, and we strive to differentiate Clockwork from the competition by providing a first class service time and time again.
“The company has an ambitious strategic growth strategy which Paul and I will be focused on delivering across the UK.
“I’m delighted to have been appointed to the executive team at this exciting time for the business.”
The company’s owner and chairman, Courtenay Morison, added: “I’m delighted to announce the appointments of both Paul Handley to managing director and Andy Blyth to group finance director.
“Both Paul and Andy have been with Clockwork for a number of years and have already brought in a number of new ideas and enthusiasm. Both are bright and capable and I look forward to working with them moving forward.”
