Carnegie Knox appoints new business development manager
Aberdeen-based accountancy practice Carnegie Knox has announced the appointment of Lesley Taylor in its newly-created role of business development manager.
Mrs Taylor’s joins the firm, which has offices in Aberdeen and Blackburn, with a background in banking, having spent 30 years working in a number of client liaison roles with the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Her industry experience has involved liaising and working with both individuals as well as businesses in Aberdeen and the surrounding areas.
Carnegie Knox said her first hand knowledge of the needs of business customers has enabled her “to develop strong and close relationships with the local business community and as such she became a trusted partner in the growth and success of their businesses”.
Alan MacPherson, senior client manager at Carnegie Knox, said: “We have traditionally focused on the oil and gas contractor market and in recent years identified that we have to diversify and attract businesses to our services from other industries.
“This is a new role we have developed that will spearhead this new direction and we are very much looking forward to working with Lesley and helping her make a success of her new appointment.”
Local to Aberdeen with a home in Kintore, which she shares with her husband and two teenage daughters, Mrs Taylor is also a keen supporter of Aberdeen Football Club.
She added: “Working for the bank has given me the necessary skills and relationship practices to provide professional services to both individuals and businesses in and around the North East of Scotland. I have valued the working relationships I have forged and very much look forward to continuing those relationships offering the services of Carnegie Knox.”
