Brewin Dolphin has announced that its head of investment management is stepping down after 15 years with the wealth management firm

Stephen Ford will leave as part of a wider restructure, the firm said.

As part of a strategy to grow funds under management, Brewin Dolphin has reorganised its executive committee to ensure there are client-facing directors on the board.

The restructure means Mr Ford will leave the company with immediate effect.

Charlie Ferry will be responsible for private client business in the south-east, while Paul Jones becomes chief of staff.

Ferry and Jones previously ran Brewin’s London office.

Nick Fitzgerald will be responsible for financial planning, Stephen Jones will head up private client business outside the south-east, and Robin Beer will run the firm’s intermediary and charities business.

Chief executive David Nichol says: “We are delighted to promote these long-standing Brewin colleagues to these critical roles and increase the size and client-facing membership of our executive committee at a time when growth is our key focus across the business.

“I would like to extend my personal thanks to Stephen for his commitment to growing our client business and I wish him well in his future endeavours.”

Brewin Dolphin’s Edinburgh office is run by Jonathan Tweedie.
