Brewin Dolphin hires new regional relationship manager for Scotland
Wealth manager Brewin Dolphin has appointed a new regional relationship manager (RRM) to develop its professional services proposition across its four Scottish offices.
The move marks the first time that the company has appointed an RRM to look after its growing Scottish professional services offering.
Andrew Sloan joins Brewin Dolphin with more than 10 years of experience in the financial services industry, having previously held senior roles at Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
In his new role, Mr Sloan will be responsible for building relationships with law and accountancy firms across Scotland, and for identifying ways of adding value to mutual client relationships.
Based at Brewin Dolphin’s Edinburgh office, Mr Slaon will also manage the firm’s relationship with the Law Society of Scotland, which recently announced Brewin Dolphin as its wealth management partner. The partnership will see Brewin Dolphin provide specialist wealth management advice to the Law Society of Scotland’s members and their underlying clients.
Matt Sullivan, national head of professional services at Brewin Dolphin, said: “Scottish lawyers and accountants tell us that their clients often need financial advice before, during and after a settlement is reached, whether that’s for a divorce, inheritance, serious injury award, or selling a business. Working as one collaborative team to take a holistic approach to a client’s needs, both legal and financial, is what this proposition is all about.”
He added: “Andrew joins us with considerable experience in building and nurturing strong client relationships; I am confident that he will provide great support to our professional services network in Scotland.”
