BR-DGE to power payments for Resident Advisor’s enhanced ticketing platform

Edinburgh-based breakthrough payment orchestration provider BR-DGE has announced that Resident Advisor, a platform in the electronic music community, has selected BR-DGE to provide global orchestration services as it continues to expand internationally.

Resident Advisor’s new platform will benefit from BR-DGE’s multi-acquiring, dynamic routing, and payment method connectivity services under a three-year deal. The initial phase of the partnership will include card and digital wallet optimisation for purchasing tickets through ecommerce and mobile channels, and will subsequently expand to provide local payment methods and new gateways to support better in-market services.

Founded in 2001, London-based Resident Advisor helps people discover music, artists and events, and is dedicated to shining a light on the passionate people and communities around the world that make electronic music tick. Already processing millions of transactions a year, Resident Advisor is now developing a new core ticketing platform that integrates BR-DGE as its payments infrastructure to support its growth trajectory.

David Selby, CEO of Resident Advisor, commented: “Resident Advisor’s new platform represents a paradigm shift in our technical capability and a significant acceleration in our long-term growth strategy. BR-DGE’s expertise in payments orchestration, coupled with their proven track record, makes them the ideal partner to support this evolution. Our phased rollout is designed to ensure seamless scalability while maintaining the integrity of the user experience. By working together, we will not only enhance the efficiency of our platform but also navigate the complexities of our expanding global presence.”

A key factor in Resident Advisor’s decision was BR-DGE’s success in helping a range of enterprise merchants enhance their tech stacks and customer payment processes. BR-DGE will also support Resident Advisor in facilitating wider company needs, including pay-outs to local providers such as venues, DJs and security staff. In addition, with Resident Advisor planning its expansion into the Latin America (LatAM) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions, BR-DGE will enable Resident Advisor to access a range of localised payment methods, uplift payment success rates and optimise the cost of foreign exchange fees.

Thomas Gillan, CEO of BR-DGE, added: “The events and music industry continues to grow around the world, and with that comes increased consumer expectations around payment choices.

“Resident Advisor’s new ticketing platform is big step as the company embarks on this exciting next stage of its growth journey, and BR-DGE is delighted to be along for the ride.

“As well as solving several customer pain points, including the introduction of a range of relevant payment methods that reduce customer friction, BR-DGE’s payment orchestration will enable Resident Advisor to increase its resilience through the addition of multiple payment processors where needed, as well as the optimisation of both acceptance rates and transaction fees. With payments orchestration in place, Resident Advisor can confidently handle the increased payment integrations, complexities and pressures that its growth will trigger, while still providing an enhanced customer experience.”
