BR-DGE introduces Vault network tokenisation system

Edinburgh-based payment orchestration platform, BR-DGE, has unveiled its latest product, BR-DGE Vault, offering merchants and payment partners improved transaction performance and security.

This innovative network tokenisation solution enables merchants to take advantage of an independent, enhanced tokenisation system.

A survey conducted by BR-DGE indicates that 83% of consumers are worried about payment security when shopping online, emphasising the need for merchants to adopt cutting-edge fraud prevention tools. In response, BR-DGE has introduced its state-of-the-art tokenisation solution, BR-DGE Vault.

Network Tokenisation replaces a customer’s primary account number (PAN) with a unique payment card scheme token, limited to specific devices, merchants, transaction types, or channels. Network tokens simplify secure, repeat purchases and subscriptions, with cards updating automatically upon expiration.

BR-DGE initiates tokenisation directly at the card scheme level, allowing merchants to process Network Tokens through existing payment integrations or have BR-DGE manage the entire payment flow, leveraging their comprehensive payment orchestration suite.

Brian Coburn, chief strategy officer at BR-DGE said: “We’re delighted to announce our stand alone Vault service which marks the first of a number of exciting products to be released over the next year by BR-DGE, providing greater access to some of the most cutting-edge tools within our platform.

The shift towards subscription-style fee plans from merchants elevates the demand for better fraud protection, authorisation rates and lifecycle management. Vault perfectly demonstrates BR-DGE’s ability to meet these demands, quickly delivering the latest payment solutions to our merchants.”
