BLM celebrates latest round of promotions in Scotland

Kirsty Yuill

Kirsty Yuill has been promoted to partner and Kirsteen Picken has been promoted to associate.

Both have shown dedication to the firm and unwavering determination on behalf of their clients.

Kirsty Yuill, who was appointed by the firm in 2015, has vast experience in all aspects of insurance litigation with particular emphasis on major / complex loss and emerging risks.  

She brings valuable insight to BLM’s offering to defender insurers, having acted for pursuers for many years.

Kirsteen Picken joined BLM as a trainee in 2013. Her experience covers a host of areas including public liability, employers’ liability and road traffic claims. Sher has a particular focus on occupational disease matters and claims made against the railway industry.

Karen Dance, head of the firm’s Scotland business stream and partner at the Glasgow office, where Kirsty and Kirsteen are based, said: “Kirsty  and Kirsteen are two of 55 promotions that have been celebrated across the firm in 2019 and we couldn’t be prouder of every single individual.
