Blackstone invests £235m in owner of Glasgow and Aberdeen Airports

Blackstone has reached an agreement to acquire a 22% minority stake in AGS Airports from AviAlliance for £235 million.
AGS Airports owns and operates Glasgow and Aberdeen airports, as well as Southampton airport, handling over eleven million passengers annually.
AviAlliance, a leading airport investor and operator wholly owned by PSP Investments, will retain a 78% majority shareholding in AGS. The investment by Blackstone, alongside AviAlliance and PSP Investments, aims to support the continued growth of the UK’s travel and tourism sectors.
Blackstone highlighted transportation as a key investment theme, citing AGS’s diversified airline mix and recent capital improvements as factors paving the way for future growth. Both AviAlliance and PSP Investments welcomed Blackstone as a long-term partner, anticipating benefits for AGS, its stakeholders, and the wider UK position of the airports.
Blackstone has previous experience investing in major transport infrastructure, including toll road platforms and private aviation terminal networks.
