Berwickshire Housing Association appoints 20 year finance veteran as convener of the board of trustees
Berwickshire Housing Association has appointed finance veteran Jim McDevitt as the new convener of the board of trustees.
Jim McDevitt joins the housing association after having worked in banking for over 20 years.
He worked for RBS for 41 years, where he held the role of relationship director. Following this, he worked for TSB as senior relationship manager in Edinburgh.
Since 2017, Mr McDevitt has worked as the finance and HR director at Cleveland Crop Sprayers Ltd in Duns.
Mr McDevitt’s work in the financial services industry-focussed particularly on working with clients who had been experiencing financial difficulties.
He has also dedicated more than 20 years to being a Rotarian in Duns raising almost £200,000 for many local and national causes.
Mr McDevitt is actively involved with the local theatre group, Duns Amateur Operatic Society, assisting with musical events and will also continue in his role as a trustee at A Heart for Duns.
