Azets has bolstered its UK workforce with the addition of 333 graduates and school leavers, 60 of whom are based in Scotland.

The firm now has 817 staff now studying towards a professional qualification. Investment in the next generation of talented business advisors is a key development strategy for Azets as the firm continues to expand.

The school leaver route at Azets Scotland is a two-year programme leading to the student becoming qualified in their AAT, with the potential to move on to and then moving onto their chartered accountancy qualification (ACCA, CTA or ICAS). The graduate route is a three year programme where students study toward their chartered accountancy qualification (ICAS, CTA or ACCA).

A traineeship with Azets and its training partners provides a bespoke programme that combines qualifications, skills, and behaviours training. In addition, each new student gets a buddy and substantial amount of on-the-job training, giving them the opportunity to pave a career path for life.

Azets offers a varied career path for early careers professionals, with the option to work across different parts of the country and to develop specialist skills in diverse areas of accounting and business advisory, from general practice and tax to corporate finance, trade, and restructuring. As part of the international Azets Group, Azets UK also offers career development opportunities across Europe.

Greig McKnight, regional managing director for Azets in Scotland, said: “We are delighted to once again welcome a substantial number of graduates and school leavers into the Scottish business.

“Investing in young talent and supporting their development as they progress through the business is a core focus for Azets. The firm offers exciting and rewarding careers both in Scotland but also across the UK and further afield. We wish them every success in their new roles.”
