Aurora Energy Services expands Aberdeen footprint with new £750k Dyce office

Ury House
Aurora Energy Services has invested £750,000 in securing a new larger office building in Aberdeen to support its ambitious expansion programme.
The company has acquired the lease for the 7,000 sq ft Ury House in Howe Moss Crescent, Dyce, which has been renamed Aurora House.
The building, with capacity for 80 people, will house Aurora’s executive management team and the recently launched Integrated Services Division, which was set up to provide engineering design, procurement, offshore and onshore installation, construction and decommissioning activities for the oil and gas and renewables sectors.
Aurora Energy Services chief executive officer, Doug Duguid, said: “This significant investment in a larger building in Aberdeen underlines our commitment to scale up our business and to be located close to key onshore and offshore customers.
“Aurora House has the capacity needed to accommodate our new Integrated Services offering which is already 30-strong and is on a recruitment drive to attract seasoned professionals and young ambitious project specialists looking for the opportunity to develop a career with a fast expanding global business.”
Aurora’s previous base in Dunnottar House in nearby Howe Moss Drive will continue to house the energy equipment specialist RenQuip and recruitment agency Recruitment Ventures – both part of the I7V investment group which is owned by Doug Duguid and Michael Buchan.
Headquartered in Inverness where the company’s £1.2 million Renewable Energy Training Centre is located, Aurora also has bases in Wick and Huntly and has plans to increase its UK footprint in strategically important locations. The company’s global presence includes operations in North and South America and Australia.
