Artemis Investment Management sees revenues soar
Edinburgh-based fund manager Artemis Investment Management has reported an increase in turnover of 16 per cent, and in profits of 19 per cent.
The firm’s latest results for the year to December 2015 also show assets under management rose from £4 billion to £4.5 billion year-on-year as income came in at £160 million, up from £138 million.
Profits before members’ remuneration was £117 million, up from £99 million.
Parent, Artemis Strategic Asset Management took £55.5 million of that and the remaining £61.5 million was available for distribution among the firm’s 32 partners.
That average profit share for the year was £1.9 million, although the firm’s accounts noted £14.5 million of the total profit was for discretionary division and that at the year-end “there was no agreed allocation” of that.
A number of partners at the business own its office on Melville Street within their pensions and received £85,000 in rent between them for the year.
