AquaTerra Group lands decommissioning projects worth seven figures
Aberdeenshire-headquartered integrated services provider AquaTerra Group has won four decommissioning contracts worth a seven-figure sum.
These projects mark a substantial increase in AquaTerra’s decommissioning portfolio from 2023 to 2025.
Recent successes include its first subcontract with Dutch offshore contractor, Allseas, on Enquest’s Heather Alpha platform, providing engineering, fabrication, access, and construction teams for underdeck preparations.
On TAQA’s Cormorant Alpha platform, AquaTerra supported Allseas in removing underdeck obstructions, leading to a further subcontract with Wood for additional work on the same platform.
AquaTerra also secured its first decommissioning contract, utilising its QuikDeck modular suspended access platform to support conductor decommissioning.
Stephen Taylor, managing director of AquaTerra Group, said: “The team and I are delighted that we were selected by Allseas through what was a competitive tendering process for the Enquest and TAQA projects. This is also the first time that we have worked with Wood in several years, so it is great to be supporting them again.
“We’re tendering for more big projects than we’ve ever tendered for before in decommissioning, and this is already paving the way for us achieving our target of £14 million turnover in 2024.”
