And finally… watch the birdie
Tourists who visit the Isle of Mull to see white-tailed eagles contribute up to £8 million per year to the island’s economy, according to a new study.
The study has highlighted the scale of the economic benefits to Scotland’s so-called “eagle island” thanks to the birds.
It highlighted that tourism inspired by the eagles accounts for between £4.9m and £8m of spending every year, The Herald reports.
The money supports between 98 and 160 full-time jobs on the Inner Hebridean island, and between £2.1m and £3.5m of local income annually.
